It’s a match! 🤝 Vom Karriereevent zum #Traumjob bei STRABAG. Nach Deniz' Teilnahme am #Absolventenkongress ist einiges passiert. Längst hat er sich in seiner Rolle als IT-Partner eingelebt und feiert die Vielfalt. Denn neben dem IT-Bedarf kümmert er sich am Standort in Essen auch um weitere IT-Anforderungen seines Bereichs. Und das ist längst nicht alles! "Meine Verantwortlichkeiten wachsen mit der Zeit. So habe ich auch die Aufgabe, mit Low-Code kleinere Bots zu programmieren, diese mit anderen Abteilungen abzustimmen und zu koordinieren“, sagt Deniz. Außerdem schult er als IT-Ansprechpartner vor Ort Kolleg:innen in Sachen Hard- und Software. 💻 Wie es nun weitergeht? "Bald werde ich den Digitalisierungsstand unseres Standorts mit Reifegradmodellen messen und stetig verbessern", erzählt Deniz. A lot has happened since Deniz was at the Absolventenkongress. He has already settled into his role as an IT partner and celebrates diversity. For his division at the Essen site, he takes care of IT requirements. And there's more! “My responsibilities grow over time. I also have the task of programming smaller bots with low-code, coordinating them with other departments,” says Deniz. He also trains colleagues in hardware and software as an on-site IT contact. 💻 What happens next? “I will soon be using maturity models to measure the level of digitalization at our site and continuously improve it,” says Deniz. Was das genau ist und wofür sie eingesetzt werden, erfahrt ihr, wenn ihr swiped! 👉 . Iron Man at our construction site? 🤖 1️⃣ Lifting, carrying, drilling Working on a construction site is often hard labour. Exoskeletons can make work easier, especially when lifting and carrying heavy loads and when working overhead. They don't turn our colleagues into Iron Man, but they can help to protect their health. 2️⃣ What are exoskeletons? The term 'exoskeleton' is derived from Greek and means like 'external skeleton'. It refers to a structure that provides both passive and active support for certain movements. It doesn't give us superpowers, but it does help save our strength. 3️⃣ Active and passive A basic distinction is made between two types of exoskeleton: ⚙️ Passive variants provide purely mechanical support with springs and cable pull mechanisms. 🔋 Active variants usually work with electric or pneumatic drive systems. They provide only a part of the required force and can relieve muscles and the skeleton during high-intensity exercise or a large number of repetitions. ⚠️ Important: exoskeletons must provide support without restricting the execution of work steps or jeopardising the safety of our colleagues! 4️⃣ Where are they needed? Exoskeletons can help with stone laying work in road construction. Here, heavy stones (up to 90 kg) often have to be laid in a kneeling position - a heavy strain on the back. Overhead work, such as electrical installations or drilling a ceiling, are also areas of application. 5️⃣ Dust, heat and moisture What has long been commonplace in the automotive industry is not yet firmly established in the construction industry: STRABAG is currently testing various exoskeletons as a pioneer in the construction sector - taking into account the special features of construction sites. Wellbeing. ✨ Als Wellbeing Beauftragte bei STRABAG sorgen Juliane und Patrick für eine sichere und gesundheitsförderliche Arbeitsumgebung. 🦺 Mit dem Feedback unserer Mitarbeitenden entwickeln sie stets neue Konzepte und gehen mit gutem Beispiel voran: Als ausgebildete und studierte Trainer:in und Sportwissenschaftler:in ist es Juliane und Patrick wichtig, selbst aktiv zu sein und eigene gesundheitsförderliche Maßnahmen an Standorten und auf Baustellen umzusetzen – darunter Training nach der Arbeit, aktive bewegte Pausen zwischendurch und auch Impulsworkshops zu Gesundheitsthemen. Für den Bereich Bautechnik und Bau ist der Baukongress eine der wichtigsten Großveranstaltungen - nicht nur in Österreich. Er dient als neutrale Plattform für Wissenstransfer und Netzwerken der Branchen Bauwirtschaft, Politik und Wissenschaft zum Vorteil des Wirtschaftsstandorts Österreichs. Wir halten unsere Performance trotz rückläufigen Märkten auf einem hohen Niveau 🔝 Das Umfeld am Bau hat sich deutlich eingetrübt – die Baukrise ist in aller Munde. 🗣️ Auch STRABAG muss sich diesen Herausforderungen stellen: Sowohl eine hohe Inflation und hohe Zinsen als auch verschärfte Kreditvergabebedingungen prägten das Umfeld im vergangenen Geschäftsjahr 2023. We are maintaining our performance at a high level despite declining markets 🔝 The construction environment has deteriorated significantly - the construction crisis is on everyone's lips. 🗣️ STRABAG face the same challenges: High inflation and high interest rates as well as tighter lending conditions characterised the mood of the past 2023 financial year. Deshalb arbeiten wir an nachhaltigen Lösungen. 💡 Bei Soley in Wien Brigittenau setzen wir gemeinsam mit STRABAG Real Estate erstmals auf CO2-reduzierten Beton mit beheizbarer Schalung. Dieser innovative Beton, entwickelt im Rahmen der österreichischen Studie RCC2, reduziert den CO2-Ausstoß während des Bauprozesses um bis zu 25%. Ein Schritt in Richtung nachhaltigen Bauens. 👣 . Anyone working in the construction industry knows that concrete is indispensable.🙅 But its production also causes a lot of emissions. That's why we are working on sustainable solutions. 💡 At Soley in Vienna's Brigittenau district, we are working with STRABAG Real Estate to use CO2-reduced concrete with heatable formwork for the first time. This innovative concrete, developed as part of the Austrian RCC2 study, reduces CO2 emissions during the construction process by up to 25%. Mit dem Recycling alter Autoreifen in Asphalt retten wir zwar nicht die Welt, aber tragen einen Teil zur nachhaltigeren Kreislaufwirtschaft bei. 💚 Das Motto des heutigen #earthday24 ist "Planet vs. Plastics" und steht ganz im Zeichen der Reduzierung von Kunststoffen. Wir gehen über das Recycling von Plastik hinaus und recyclen Asphalt und, das ist kein Witz, alte Autoreifen. 🚗 Was damit passiert? In unserem Konzernland Polen bauen wir damit Straßen. Mit "RUBBERBIT®", einer Binderschicht mit Gummigranulat aus alten Autoreifen, ist es möglich die Lebensdauer von Asphaltflächen zu verlängern. Es werden also zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe geschlagen: Altreifen werden recycelt und der Asphalt wird dank RUBBERBITs® visko-elastischer Eigenschaften deutlich flexibler und widerstandsfähiger. 🙌 . Earth and car tyres? We lay some rubber💨 - in building our roads! By recycling old car tyres and repurposing them in asphalt, we may not be saving the world, but we are making a contribution to a more sustainable circular economy. 💚 The #earthday24 motto is "Planet vs. Plastics" and is therefore all about reducing plastics. We go beyond recycling plastic and recycle asphalt and, no joke, old car tyres. 🚗 What happens to them? We use them to build roads in our Group country Poland. With "RUBBERBIT®", a binder layer with rubber granulate from old car tyres, it is possible to extend the service life of asphalt surfaces. This kills two birds with one stone: old tyres are recycled and the asphalt becomes significantly more flexible thanks to RUBBERBIT's® visco-elastic properties. 🙌 This makes roads more resistant, especially in regions with high temperature fluctuations, resulting in fewer cracks or breaks. Trainee around the world: Holzbau. Tunnelbau. Einmal Chile und zurück 🌍 Niklas hatte eine besondere Gelegenheit. "In Chile gab es ein mega spannendes Projekt, basic Spanischkenntnisse hatte ich aus der Schule – also nichts wie los!", erinnert sich der ehemalige Trainee. Doch von vorne: Für 15 Monaten durchlief Niklas das technische Tranieeprogramm bei ZÜBLIN Timber. Es führte ihn vom Holzbauwerk zu verschiedenen Konzernstationen innerhalb von STRABAG hin zum großen Tunnelbauprojekt in Chile. 😎🌵 Heute ist Niklas Bauleiter im Bereich Holzbau und Fassade bei ZÜBLIN Timber und setzt seine erworbenen Skills bei vielfältigen Holzbauprojekten ein. "There was a super exciting project in Chile, and I had basic Spanish skills from school - so let's go!" recalls the former trainee. But let's start at the beginning: Niklas did the technical trainee program at ZÜBLIN Timber for 15 months. It took him from timber construction to various Group stations within STRABAG to the large tunnel construction project in Chile. 😎🌵 Today, Niklas is a site manager in the timber construction and facade division at ZÜBLIN Timber and uses the skills he has gained in a wide range of timber construction projects.
