Within the framework of a Joint Lab, we conduct research in the fields of Data Science and Open Knowledge together with the Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) and the L3S Research Centre of LUH.
In order to intensify the cooperation between TIB, LUH and L3S, the research and development of new methods and systems for data networking, search in and exploration of large data sets is being promoted in various projects within the framework of the joint lab. The Joint Lab serves as a nucleus for further initiatives in the field of research and innovation.
Since its founding in 2017, the Joint Lab sustainably amplified its impact in terms of project acquisition and technology development in the initial domains of Education, Manufacturing and Automation, Health, and Data and Web Science. Moreover, the Joint Lab expanded its activities to the four novel domains of ORKG, Data Markets, Data Entrepreneurship, Culture and the Creative Sector, as well as Digital Energy, with the acquisition of projects and the development of novel solutions tackling digitalisation challenges in these areas.
